Signal Electrician Emerald

Overview

Our well-established maintenance team based in Emerald is currently seeking a Signal Electrician to join their team on a permanent full‑time basis.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, repair and adjust electrical signalling equipment.

Undertake scheduled maintenance activities on signalling equipment.

Attend signalling failures to analyse, repair and report on cause of failures.

Maintain records and documentation relating to signal maintenance and costing systems.

Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment irregularities.

Be flexible with working times.

Qualifications

Certificate IV Railway Signalling.

A current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.

A current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence or interstate equivalent that can be changed over prior to starting.

Experience in installation, maintenance and fault rectification of signalling equipment.

Capacity to travel and work within regional Queensland.

Total remuneration package of $193,000 (including allowances) plus 12.75% Super.

9‑day fortnight roster – Mon‑Fri, Mon‑Thurs (3‑day weekend every fortnight).

Travel within roster on paid work time.

Rail specific tools, uniform, PPE and shared work vehicle supplied.
