Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or higher), plus at least 12 months of relevant work experience, or 3 years of Cook experience
- Experience preparing South Indian cuisine
- Knowledge of Indian-style chaat will be an advantage
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

The successful applicant will perform following duties:

- Preparing, seasoning and cooking a range of South Indian dishes, including curries, dosas, idlis, vadas and other traditional items (update if necessary)
- Assisting with the preparation of Indian-style chaat and street food items where required
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard and according to restaurant recipes
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Monitoring food stock levels and assisting with ordering ingredients
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety standards
- Assisting with menu preparation and development of new dishes where required

Pay: $60,000.00
- $80,000.00 per year
