Optical Dispenser - Eye Know How (Gordon)

A wonderful career opportunity in the optical industry is available for an Optical Dispenser to join our friendly and professional team at Eye Know How, a well-known and respected optometry practice in the local community.

**About you**

Previous experience working in the optical industry is highly valued. You will have a passion to deliver excellent customer service with a flair for fashion and a keen interest in sales.

A high level of competency in taking measurements (such as multifocal fitting heights, PDs and adjusting frames) is essential.
- Excellent people skills to assist patients to select frames and lenses
- Good product knowledge of lens types, including multifocal and office lenses
- Experience in processing claims using HiCAPS, with valuable knowledge of health funds and an understanding of item numbers
- Ability and willingness to learn
- High attention to detail
- Understanding of the importance of privacy and confidentiality
- Professional appearance befitting a middle to high end boutique practice
- Punctuality

**About the position**

The position is part time including Saturday mornings and will include 2 weekdays. No late night work is required. Close proximity to a major railway station (3 minute walk) and parking facilities.

**Key responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, positive demeanour
- Show initiative and be a great team player
- Demonstrate good attention to detail
- Advocate best practice and adherence of Company policies
- General practice administration and reception duties will also form part of the role, including ordering spectacles and contact lenses

**Skills and experience**
- Experience with Sunix Practice Management software preferred
- Proven experience working in a retail environment
- Outstanding communication skills, an organised and detailed approach to work flow as well as a love of working with people are key
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement
