Education Support Traineeship (Moonee Ponds)

**About AGA**: AGA has more than 30 years’ experience in training people and placing them into employment, with a focus on apprenticeships and traineeships. AGA partners with the MAS National consortium to deliver Apprenticeship Network Provider services in Victoria.

**About the role**: Our organisation is focused on providing support and mentoring to the successful trainee as well as providing on the job training for 12 Months. **About you**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions from teachers as well as use initiative
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training located in Deer Park during school holidays
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Able to commit to a 12 month Traineeship
- ** Must **_NOT _**have completed a Certificate III or higher in Education Support in the last 7 years**

**What you will do**:

- Provide routine support for teachers
- You will be required to work under the direct supervision of a teacher
- Communicating with student/s to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
- Addressing immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedures
- Will provide basic physical and emotional care for students
- Work closely with children who have disabilities/special needs
