Practice Manager - Specialist Medical Practice (Essendon)

- $120k + Super (dep on exp) Our client is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their busy Specialist Medical practice. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will hit the ground running from day one. You will be a true manager and leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Key Requirements:

- Proven experience running a busy specialist medical practice (not GP). Candidates without direct specialist practice management experience will not be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume practice with minimal supervision.
- Fast and efficient learner with exceptional time management and staff management skills.
- Strong leader with real-time leadership capabilities – you must be able to direct, support, and develop the team effectively.
- Proactive problem-solver who actively initiates ideas to improve workflows, increase revenue, and decrease costs.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a professional, positive approach.
- Proficiency (or very quick to master) in Gentu, Healthengine, Square, Stripe, and Microsoft systems.
- Commitment to continuous improvement – always looking for better ways of working.
- Ability to maintain and update our online Hub policy and procedure manual for easy team access. Due to the owners’ high-intensity workload, limited training can be provided. You must be ready to manage operations effectively from the start.

- For the right candidate: possibility of some flexible working arrangements after 3 months of full-time onsite work (WFH is not available during the first 3 months and is non-negotiable). This is not a role for someone looking for a slow-paced or heavily supported position. Our client needs a capable, driven, and experienced Practice Manager who can take ownership and drive the practice forward.
