Description
We are looking for an exceptional Venue Operations Manager to lead one of Australia's most unique regional hospitality businesses. Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 3-5 years of management experience to be considered for this venue manager role. Applicants must be Australian permanent residents or citizens to be eligible for this position. Bodalla Dairy Shed is a destination experience combining a milkbar, ice creamery, café, cheesery, produce store as well as a donut shop, chocolate shop, farm animals and accommodation
- attracting more than 160,000 visitors each year. Within the same venue, we produce fresh artisan cheese, yoghurt, ice cream and chocolate. Working closely with the owners, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hospitality arm, actively leading a team from the front and supporting day-to-day service
- setting the tone for a smooth, efficient, and positive operation. This is a role for someone who treats a business as if it were their own. You will have the autonomy to lead the venue, develop your team, improve systems and drive commercial performance while preserving the warmth, authenticity and sense of place that makes Bodalla Dairy so loved by locals and visitors alike. ⭐ Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily venue operations across the café, milkbar, retail and visitor experience areas.
- Recruit, train, mentor and inspire a high-performing hospitality team.
- Manage rosters, labour costs, purchasing and inventory.
- Maintain exceptional customer service and presentation standards.
- Work closely with the production team to showcase our cheese, ice cream and chocolate.
- Monitor and improve financial performance including labour, margins and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Take ownership of venue systems, reporting and operational procedures.
- Lead from the front during service and support the team wherever required.
- Create a culture of accountability, positivity and continuous improvement.
