What You’ll Be Doing In office, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople, contributing to day-to-day construction operations — physical, hands-on work across a range of civil and commercial projects. Off-site, you will learn and contribute to the full project delivery cycle, including:
- Material takeoffs and material ordering
- Liaising with clients
- Arranging logistics and coordinating deliveries
- Completing project handovers
- Meeting quality requirements
- Preparing safety documentation What We’re Looking For We want someone who is:

- Holds a current, valid driver’s licence (a personal vehicle is not essential — a company vehicle may be available for work as required) Experience in fast-paced, customer-facing roles — such as retail or hospitality — is highly regarded. A Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Civifence operates across civil and commercial construction sites where zero blood alcohol and zero drug tolerance is a strict site requirement. This is non-negotiable — it exists to keep our people, our clients, and the public safe. As part of our hiring process, the successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing. We ask that applicants are comfortable with this before applying. Location Our office and factory are based in Ferntree Gully. Applicants on Melbourne’s eastern side will find this role most practical from a travel perspective. Those commuting daily from the western suburbs may find the logistics challenging.
