Social Worker Pennington

The Fig Trees Disability Services is a Registered NDIS Provider that has extensive knowledge about NDIS, a passion for supporting people with psycho-social disabilities to achieve goals that are important to them, and a robust commitment to social justice and clients' choice and control.

We are currently looking for a permanent full time Social Worker to join our Team working in our West Adelaide office.

Requirements:

Social work qualifications and registration with the AASW are required.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities and the NDIS framework is highly desirable.

Experience in mental health, community services, or other allied health professions is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to build and maintain rapport with a diverse range of NDIS participants and stakeholders, including people living with a disability, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and other marginalised groups.

NDIS Worker Screening Check or equivalent DHS Disability Clearance.

Working with Children Check.

Police Check.

Current First Aid & CPR certification.

Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module.

COVID vaccination, including booster.

Access to own vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

Your main Responsibilities and Duties

Provide compassionate care and support to NDIS participants, assisting them in overcoming challenges and achieving their full potential.

Collaborate with participants and their families to develop personalised support plans tailored to their unique needs.

Offer short-term or crisis intervention support when needed, ensuring the well-being of participants.

Liaise with participants’ care team, including NDIS representatives, healthcare professionals, service providers and other stakeholders.

Provide counselling support and assistance with NDIS plan reviews.

Assist colleagues as part of a cohesive team.
