Despatch / Customer Service Officer Ottoway

The role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Despatch/Customer Service person to join our welcoming, close-knit team in Ottoway, SA

This full time permanent opportunity is a rapid-paced role that needs someone who has the ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities and plays a vital role within our business to ensure the expectations of our customers are met through the effective distribution and transportation of our concrete products.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily scheduling of work to meet both the needs of the customer and the business. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be working as part of a friendly team who will help you learn about our products and systems.

Responsibilities

Despatch duties with a Business and Customer service focus

Scheduling current and future orders

Liasing with the Sales, Customer Service and yard teams and customers on a daily basis

Maximising daily deliveries and truck utilisation

Ensure health, safety and environment standards are maintained

What you will need to succeed

Proven experience in a transport or operational manufacturing or similar environment

Commitment to health, safety and environment policies and procedures

Exceptional time management, along with effective written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

SAP experience is desirable

Building materials or similar industry experience
