The clinic has 6 GPs and 3 Allied Health Practitioners, and we are looking for a patient-focused and friendly receptionist with a can-do attitude to join our clinic team.

Position Overview

Provide administrative support to management, medical and nursing employees.

Undertake all duties in a diligent manner with honesty and integrity

Having a can-do attitude and being able to work independently when required

Doctors on Nicholson understands the importance of the role receptionists play when it comes to the clinic running smoothly, so we award this with a above award hourly rate.

Core tasks & responsibilities

Meeting and greeting patients

Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment diary.

Answering telephone queries for bookings, patient results and general patient queries.

Processing payments (EFTPOS/TYRO and HotDoc) and follow-up of unpaid accounts.

Maintain client database and demographic details (excellent attention to detail a must)

Ensure reception and waiting room is presentable and tidy, and completing cleaning tasks set out in the opening and closing procedure

Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality legislation

Qualifications and Experience

Previous customer service experience in a GP practice, hospitality, retail or similar highly regarded.

Professional presentation, well developed communication skills, robust attention to detail and a passion for patient care are the keys to success in this role.

Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently

The ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively within a team setting

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00
- $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
