Flagstick Bistro in Eugowra, NSW is looking for qualified Head Chefs to join our team. The successful candidate should bring proven culinary expertise and a strong passion for creating tasty, high-quality meals.
Head Chef
Salary: AUD $80,000 – $95,000 per annum + superannuation
Key Responsibilities: Set up kitchen, prepare and cook dishes as listed in the menu Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion consistency Maintain cleanliness and comply with Health and Food safety regulations Slightly modify recipes to meet customer's request Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering Train and supervise junior cooks and when required Delegate tasks to kitchen staff Work effectively within a team environment Freeze and preserve foods
Skills and Experience Required: Minimum 2 years full-time relevant experience in a commercial kitchen Experience of working in a quick-paced hospitality workplace for long hours Understanding of Health and safety standards including food handling and sanitation process Excellent Communication skills Experience of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively
Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (AQF level) or equivalent, OR Diploma of Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery stream), OR Relevant industry experience may substitute formal qualification
