The Role A recent opportunity is available for a Farm Hand to work on one of our properties with a focus on large-scale cropping reporting directly to the Farm Manager. This role will work within a large-scale, systemised cropping business with modern equipment and clear operational processes. About us GFA is a progressive, performance-focused farming business responsible for managing the ‘Mulyandry’ aggregation, a large-scale cropping operation of approximately 4,583 ha near Forbes and Grenfell in Central West NSW. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Operation and maintenance of a variety of machinery including spraying units, spreaders and chaser bins/headers, depending on operational requirements.
- This role includes the responsibility for driving a John Deere 616 See & Spray, requiring a strong knowledge of both broadacre and camera spraying is essential, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
- General farm duties.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Support and improve WHS practices on the farm. Key Requirements:
- Operation of farm machinery with experience in precision spraying highly regarded.
- Shows initiative, responsibility and a positive attitude to work.
- Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.
- Willingness to learn.
- Sound mechanical ability.
- Additional certifications such as Chem Cert and truck licence are advantageous, however not essential.
- Driver’s licence and own vehicle are essential. The role offers comfortable on-farm accommodation, training, and a competitive salary based on experience. Alternatively, off-farm living can be supported, with a vehicle available to the right candidate.
