The role You’ll be the primary maintenance presence at Kularoo, the person residents and staff rely on to keep the facility safe, functional and well looked after. Your day‑to‑day work involves both reactive and preventive maintenance across buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings and paintwork.
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings, plant, equipment, furniture, fittings, and paintwork.
- Log, manage, and complete maintenance requests through the CMMS (Maintenance Connection).
- Maintain accurate records of asset acquisitions, disposals and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, residents and contractors.
- Ensure all activities comply with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies. About you You are practical, self‑motivated, and take pride in doing a job properly. Whether you’re already in the Forster area or ready to make the move, what matters most is that you show up, get it done, and genuinely care about the workplace you maintain.
- Solid hands‑on maintenance experience.
- Trade background with relevant qualifications (highly regarded).
- Experience working with property‑related contractors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and a CMMS (Maintenance Connection or similar).
- Strong interpersonal skills – you work well independently and as part of a small, tight‑knit team.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in an aged‑care or healthcare environment (desirable).
- NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
