Posted: 01/06/2026 Closing Date: 07/06/2026 Job Type: Temporary Location: Forster Job Category: Education, Childcare & Training Holy Name Primary School Forster is seeking a temporary part time (18hrs p/w) Library Assistant to join the team Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week for terms 3 and 4. Holy Name Forster is located in the Spectacular Manning Valley, centred in the heart of the Outstanding Lakes region. A school of over 300 students, catering from K-6, Holy Name strives for academic excellence in all Key Learning Areas while maintaining a supportive and Christian environment, with teaching strategies and practices consistently reviewed to ensure quality teaching and learning occurs through targeted improvements. Job Description The School Officer/Library Assistant:
- As a member of the library team, works to support teachers and students utilising Library facilities and resources
- As a member of the school team, works to support nominated staff in the performance of their duties Desired Skills and Experience EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
- Recent experience working in a school library including working knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
- Knowledge of WHS requirements in a library setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to show initiative, work alone or as part of a team
- A flexible approach to completion of tasks with frequent interruptions QUALIFICATIONS
- ALIA accredited qualification, preferably at the diploma level
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
