Description
**About RPS**
Founded in 1970, RPS, a Tetra Tech company is a leading global professional services firm of 5,000 consultants and service providers. With experience across 125 countries and six continents we define, shape and manage projects that create shared value for a complex, urbanising and resource-scarce world.
We have deep expertise in things that matter and are easy to work with. Our clients trust and respect us for our creative thinking. Together we build strong relationships by repeatedly delivering on our promise: making complex easy.
We work across six sectors: property, energy, transport, water, resources, defence and government services.
Our services are delivered under twelve service clusters: project and programme management, design and development, water, environment, advisory and management consulting, exploration and development, planning and approvals, heath, safety and risk, oceans and coastal, laboratories, training and communication and creative services.
**About the role**
RPS is seeking a highly experienced Associate Director to join our communications and engagement practice in Brisbane. As a key member of the local team, you’ll use your extensive network and experience to win, plan and deliver projects in Queensland and provide your expertise to support projects nationally as required.
Confidently pragmatic, you’ll leverage your skills to help our clients engage with their stakeholders and communities, lead projects and mentor our talented team of communications professionals.
It’s a great opportunity for a senior communications practitioner with ten years plus experience in communications, engagement and social advisory to be part of a growing team and make a mark on some of Australia’s biggest projects.
You will be part of a dynamic, diverse, supportive and tight-knit team that prides itself on solving the problems that matter for our clients. You’ll work with a range of government and private sector clients in a range of sectors including renewables, transport and property.
**Experience & Qualifications**
- 10 years + proven experience in communications, engagement, and community relations, including managing issues for government and/or the infrastructure sector.
- Track record of leveraging past business relationships in new roles.
- Demonstrated ability to form long-term, trusted relationships with clients and partners.
- Be recognised as an industry leader and innovator.
- Excellent skills in managing relationships, teams, projects and issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work co-operatively with people of all levels to achieve outcomes. An affinity for working on several projects at once or experience in the consulting environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in the renewables, energy, property or transport sectors.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
