This is a rare opportunity to join the Brisbane finance team of a large multinational organisation operating within a complex, global environment.
Leading a team of two, this role will oversee reporting, controls and compliance activities across a portfolio of corporate entities and joint ventures.
Importantly, this is not a pure technical accounting role. The business is seeking someone who understands how large global organisations operate, ideally with exposure to USGAAP, multinational reporting environments and working across international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading month end, quarter end and year end close activities;
- Oversight of corporate reporting, reconciliations and compliance;
- Managing foreign exchange and multi-currency accounting processes;
- Coordination of audit deliverables and stakeholder requests;
- Supporting SOX and internal control requirements;
- Leading and mentoring two accountants; and
- Driving process improvement initiatives across the function. About You:
- CA / CPA qualified;
- Experience within a large multinational or complex corporate environment;
- Exposure to USGAAP highly regarded;
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability;
- Experience across corporate accounting, reporting and controls;
- Mining / resources exposure beneficial but not essential; and
- SAP experience preferred. This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to step into a broad corporate accounting leadership role within a highly regarded global organisation.
