The OCCIO team is offering an exciting opportunity to step into a dynamic, multidisciplinary role, open to both HP and NG applicants. Provide advanced clinical expertise and care relevant to the OCCIO service. Provide advanced clinical and technical knowledge to support the translation of clinical needs to technical requirements for statewide digital healthcare solutions. You will lead the successful delivery of discrete small and medium-scale ICT projects within the OCCIO delivery remit. What you'll do
- Apply advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills In one or more clinical informatic specialities
- Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics and clinical workflow design.
- Responsible for the professional development of self and others utilising contemporary practice in the delivery of improved standards of care.
- Participate directly or indirectly in the delivery of clinical care, act as a clinical resource, advisor, mentor, role model, and technical expert, in relation to clinical informatics and clinical workflow design.
- Participate in innovation and change to develop responses to address emerging service needs in relation to clinical informatics and clinical workflow design.
- Support the Nursing Director by identifying inconsistencies between practice and policy, and work in collaboration with the interprofessional team to implement changes.
- Provide high level advice on clinical processes and apply high level professional knowledge in relation to digital healthcare solutions (including ieMR).
- Provide advanced guidance and understanding of digital healthcare solutions (including ieMR), with comprehensive information transfer relating to design capabilities and system functionality of the application.
- Lead statewide clinical governance committees to support clinical workflow change and digital innovation. Develop standardised training and education material to aid transition to a digital healthcare application.
- Work collaboratively with statewide networks, working groups and OCCIO data and analytic staff to establish workflows that improve clinical care and complement accurate collation of data for reporting and improvement purposes. About you We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills In one or more clinical informatic specialities.
- Experience in advanced problem-solving and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics and clinical workflow design.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and ability to negotiate change.
- Ability to develop high-level communication skills to align OCCIO's clinical informatics team and influence culture.
- Demonstrated specialised level of knowledge and skills in complex, contemporary, clinical practice standards relating to clinical informatics and use of digital hospital systems.
- Ability to lead digital quality service improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes within digital Hospital and Health Services. Why work with us?
