Assistant Store Manager (Fortitude Valley)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented **Assistant Store Manager** to join our team and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while upholding our high standards of quality and service.

**Key Responsibilities**: **Operational Leadership**
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock of ingredients and supplies.
- Manage and optimise workflow to ensure efficient production and service.

**Team Management**
- Support the hiring, training, and development of store location staff.
- Schedule team members to meet operational needs.
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to team members to maintain a motivated and high-performing team.
- Step in to resolve team or customer issues with professionalism and tact.

**Customer Experience**
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring staff members provide friendly and attentive service.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests with a solution-oriented approach.
- Assist in creating displays and marketing strategies to promote seasonal products and specials.

**Financial Accountability**
- Help achieve sales targets by driving customer engagement and upselling products.
- Monitor waste and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in retail, food service, or hospitality.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for baking and a commitment to delivering quality products and experiences.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial reporting.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
