Recruitment Consultant – Control Systems & Electrical Engineering Are you a sophisticated Recruitment Consultant with demonstrable expertise in identifying, mapping and securing highly specialised Control Systems and Electrical Engineering talent across complex, asset-intensive environments? This role operates at the convergence of engineering execution, workforce planning and data intelligence—supporting the mobilisation of critical technical capability across large-scale mining, energy and infrastructure projects characterised by multidiscipline interfaces and stringent delivery timelines. Role Overview You will support recruitment activity across specialised engineering areas, including Control Systems, Automation, Operational Technology (OT) and broader Electrical Engineering roles. Working closely with senior management and engineering leads, you will help translate upcoming project needs into organised, well‑planned hiring activities. This will involve learning how to use market research, talent mapping and basic data insights to identify suitable candidates and build strong talent pipelines. Success in this role will rely on your willingness to understand complex technical roles, work within competitive candidate markets and contribute to timely, accurate hiring outcomes in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment. Core Responsibilities
- Support the end‑to‑end recruitment process by assisting with role scoping, sourcing, screening, interview coordination and onboarding.
- Help identify and engage candidates across Control Systems, OT and Electrical Engineering by using job boards, LinkedIn and existing talent pools, while contributing to basic market and competitor research.
- Participate in short listing, early‑stage interviews and coordinate technical assessments with senior team members, while helping create targeted job ads and attraction content.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, prepare simple reports and provide general stakeholder support, including sharing candidate updates and assisting with salary benchmarking.
- Contribute to a positive candidate experience through timely communication, smooth onboarding coordination and consistent follow‑up during early employment stages. Essential Criteria
- At least 1 year experience supporting recruitment in engineering, electrical, automation or industrial sectors.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Exposure to hiring across electrical and control systems roles (e.g., Control Systems Engineers, Electrical Designers, Industrial Electricians, Drafters).
- Basic understanding of electrical and automation concepts, with a willingness to deepen technical knowledge.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools, with the ability to work with dashboards and maintain data accuracy.
- Comfortable using platforms like SharePoint and Dynamics 365 to manage recruitment workflows.
- Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills within technical environments.
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage competing priorities.
