Everest Civil is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join its team and support the delivery of civil infrastructure and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Preparing cost estimates, tender submissions, and technical documentation for a range of civil works projects;
· Leading preparation of tenders for civil infrastructure and renewables;
· Performing quantity take-offs, cost estimating and time scale calculations from first principles;
· Reviewing and interpreting project documents, technical drawings, plans, regulations and specifications;
· Reviewing materials to verify they meet required specifications, regulations, and standards;
· Collaborating with and assisting project managers and subcontractors, clients and suppliers in planning, pricing and scope;
· Scheduling work programs;
· Performing technical computations and data analysis;
· Supporting the Bid Coordinator to ensure submission quality; and
· Actively participating in business development. Ideal candidates will also possess:
· A relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Diploma or higher. Everest Civil will accept at least 3 years of relevant experience as equivalent to the formal qualification;
· Experience in Expert Estimation software (essential);
· Understanding of MS Project;
· Familiarity with TMR and council specifications, and inspecting work and materials for compliance with regulations and standards; and
