The Team & Role The Clinical Educator – Transition to Practice (Graduate Nurse Program) is an integral member of the education and clinical leadership teams. The clinical educator plays an important role in supporting newly registered nurses in the provision of a safe and positive environment as they develop their skills and confidence to provide high quality care. They are flexible in supporting all levels of staff across the organisation, with particular focus on education to mitigate risk, advance clinical practice and develop staff along the novice to expert continuum. The clinical educator works competently within their scope of practice delivering and facilitating education in compliance with evidence-based practice as well as hospital policy and guidelines. This position will participate in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Graduate Nurse Program guided by the DHHS Nursing and Midwifery Transition to Practice Guidelines. - Registered Nurse Division 1 with current AHPRA registration
- Postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, research or relevant clinical area
- Current and extensive experience working within an acute area of nursing
- Prior experience in teaching or supporting learners. Prior experience in learning/instructional design, education program innovation, simulation etc (Desirable) Benefits
