**The role**: The Customer Service Officer
- Trade Waste is a key point of contact for South East Water's Trade Waste customers. Reporting to the Trade Waste Customer Service Coordinator, you will also provide efficient and effective support services to the broader Trade Waste team.
Some day to day activities in this role include:
- Follow up new occupiers of commercial and industrial facilities
- Make and receive phone calls providing technical advice regarding Trade Waste regulatory compliance, including ‘Wastelog’ operations
- Update works schedule for inspections and follow up where required
- Add and remove encumbrances from the billing database
**This role is available part-time, for 3 days per week.**
**Who are you?**:
- Excellent written communications skills, with the ability to write documents for a range of audiences in a constructive and professional manner
- Strong negotiation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build customer rapport
- Sound computer skills and knowledge of customer-related computer systems
- Ability to work autonomously while also working collaboratively with the broader Trade Waste team
