Audit Program Lead (Frankston City)

Job Overview South East Water seeks an experienced Audit Program Lead to drive and continuously improve our audit and assurance program. In this key role you will lead a risk‑based audit program that delivers actionable insights to management, executives and the board while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational priorities. Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, report and follow‑up on internal audit engagements.
- Direct the end‑to‑end audit lifecycle and coordinate external audit providers.
- Produce high‑quality audit reports for executive and board‑level stakeholders.
- Oversee organisational reporting and attestation under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (SOCI Act).
- Support business‑needs audits as required. Qualifications
- Proven experience in internal audit, assurance, risk, or governance within large, complex, or regulated organisations.
- Strong technical knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 31000, ISO 27001/VPDSS, ISO 55000) and audit methodologies.
- Track record of managing internal audit programmes and coordinating external providers.
- Experience with SOCI or critical infrastructure risk management (desirable).
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, auditing, risk, business, governance or related field.
- Qualified certification such as CA, CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. Benefits
