Communications Officer Fremantle

Our client is seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join them for a 3month casual contract, 40 hour week Monday tto Friday, with the possibility of extension.

This role will be based in Fremantle.

The Communications Officer will be partnering with our clients operations division to undertake internal and external communication project activities.

About the Role

Work with operational managers to prepare and deliver strategies and tactics for communicating port operations-related initiatives and projects to employees and stakeholders.

Research, write, and deliver internal communications materials and products and assist operational managers and supervisors in effective internal communications.

Assist in the delivery of communications training.

Liaise with other departments within Fremantle Ports to collect and process information to include in Fremantle Ports’ publications and to contribute through the preparation of communications initiatives.

Schedule and undertake activities in line with communications planning.

Take photographs and video where required for use in communication activities

About you

Tertiary or industry qualification in a relevant field.

Proven track record in developing and executing project communication strategies, including the delivery of on-ground activities that deliver practical outcomes.

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated solid interpersonal skills.

Experience in an operational workplace desirable
