As the Electrical Design Draftsperson for Austal Defence Australia you’ll be providing and supporting the Design of the vessel from concept through to delivery, on time and on budget.

What's Involved Develop accurate, build-ready electrical drawings and technical documentation Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and compliance requirements Support production by delivering clear, timely, and practical design outputs Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and stakeholders Identify and resolve design issues within your area of expertise Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

You'll Need Formal drafting qualification (or equivalent experience) Robust experience in electrical drafting, ideally within marine or heavy industry Proficiency in AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, and Microsoft Office Solid understanding of technical specifications, standards, and design processes Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines A proactive mindset with ownership of your work and outcomes Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
