About the office This position is part of the Pro Vice Chancellor, Student Experience portfolio, encompassing Student Success, Indigenous Education, Chaplaincy, Libraries, Student Life, and Student Wellbeing. About the role The Student Life Coordinator, International and Transition is responsible for managing and supporting the development of International Student Engagement programs across the University. The position reports to the National Manager, Student Life. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate International Student Engagement programs on campus to support International Students to form a community.
- Provide advice and leadership to support evidence-based student transition initiatives, including the development of a university-wide international student engagement framework.
- Lead and mentor Student Life Officers across campuses to ensure effective delivery of transition and engagement programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver meaningful on-campus cultural and engagement opportunities for international and Study Abroad students.
- Build strong relationships with University stakeholders nationally.
- Apply University policies and procedures to manage student matters and ensure ESOS compliance for International Student Orientation.
- Undertake other duties as directed and comply with all University policies and standards. Qualifications, skills & experience
- Relevant degree qualification and/or significant experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing staff.
- Strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures, with the ability to provide informed advice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with senior stakeholders.
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
