Gas Service Technician (Hume)

**About the role**

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping critical infrastructure running smoothly? Zinfra is on the hunt for a Gas Service Technician to help maintain and repair our client gas facilities and networks in the ACT / Nowra region
- keeping homes and businesses powered safely and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities include**
- Complete all programmed and corrective maintenance of Zinfra’s client gas facilities and networks
- Ensure no gas outages due to maintenance and repair techniques and reduce “call backs” or rework on work performed
- Working in accordance with the code of conduct and safety policies and procedures and report all system and component failures ensuring you are following respective procedures
- Carry out risk assessments on all work
- Assist with resourcing during emergency or critical times
- Provide constructive input regarding issues affecting the team

**About You**

The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of gas networks and experience working with a variety of tools and equipment, as well as the following:

- Experience working within the utilities sector
- Proactive approach towards safety and excellent secure working practices
- Flexibility to work reasonable overtime, as required to meet the needs of the business and being on a monthly after-hours callout roster
- Gas Fitting / Plumbing trade or equivalent (highly desirable)
- Current Australian drivers licence, White / Blue card, Asbestos and Silica awareness
