This opportunity working as a **Rehabilitation Consultant** stands out as you will also get exposure delivering some of IPAR’s innovative services including our pain education _Re-thinking Recovery_ program. This program centres around using virtual reality and modern pain science to help people understand pain and re-train their brain and body. Re-thinking recovery is used in collaboration with a client’s current healthcare approach and will involve engagement with the entire treating team to ensure that the service is focused on the client.

Duties of the role include:

- Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
- Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
- Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments.
- Deliver our innovative virtual reality pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery

- Tertiary qualification in** Exercise Physiology**;
- Full Professional Accreditation as an **Exercise Physiologist** with **ESSA**;
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills

- Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
- It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!;
- A current valid** Driver’s License** and access to **own car** with **comprehensive insurance** is a must.
