Maintenance Fitter (Town of Gawler)

Overview The Maintenance Fitter is a member of the Engineering Team, who will provide technical services to the engineering department by performing maintenance of machinery, equipment and services on site to meet site objectives. The Maintenance Fitter will also purse mechanical maintenance improvements and drive a high-quality culture and standard. This is a day shift role, working Monday to Friday however some after hours on call work may be required. We currently have multiple roles available across various teams within the Engieering department each with differentresponsibilities and machinery ownerships across different areas of the Glass Manufacturing Facility. Competative Hourly Rate of $50.24 available across all roles as entry level rate. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance according to site requirements
- Troubleshoot machines and equipment by making assessments of problems and estimating duration of time to repair
- Respond to machine breakdowns and take corrective action promptly
- Report production or machine problems and issues through the defect handling systems
- Use of MEX, PM check sheets, schematic drawings, technical manuals etc.
- Demonstrate an exemplary safety ethic and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the plant
- Other duties as requested by the General Maintenance Supervisor
- Willingness to particiapte in on call roster for after hours breakdowns as required About You
- Trade Qualification – Maintenance Fitter Cert III, advanced certificate welcomed
- Previous experience in fault finding automated machinery
- A positive understanding of Mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors and air systems
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to manage changing priorities
- Capacity to work autonomously
