Forklift Driver/Machine Operator (South Geelong)

We have a full-time chance for an enthusiastic Forklift Driver to join our South Geelong plant. Godfrey Hirst has over 160 years of manufacturing experience and is part of Mohawk Industries. - 3:00pm | South Geelong We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our carpet finishing operation at our South Geelong site as a Forklift Driver. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with a steady 7am–3pm shift (Monday-Friday), paid lunch breaks, and regular RDOs to enjoy more time outside of work. Reporting to the Finishing Manager, your primary responsibility will be operating forklifts to safely transport and load finished carpet products within the finishing area and for dispatch. You will also support the team with general finishing line duties, including product handling, rework and packing where required. Requirements
- Valid LF Forklift Licence (essential)
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Good physical stamina and ability to undertake occasional manual handling
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and team-focused attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge (advantageous) On-the-job training and support will be provided to ensure your success in the role.
