**About the Role** As the Team Manager for Government Relations, you will play a pivotal role in managing high-level government and key stakeholder relationships and ensuring the effective delivery of strategic and independent advice and quality communication. Your work will directly support the TAC’s mission to promote road safety and help clients get their lives back on track, making a significant impact on public policy and service delivery. This role offers the opportunity to exercise independent judgment and leadership in a complex and dynamic environment.

**About the Team** This role is part of our Government Relations team within the Government Legislation & Privacy branch, responsible for liaising with Ministers, their offices, and various government departments and road safety partners. You will be supported by a Manager who encourages autonomy and fosters a collaborative atmosphere. The team is known for its high standards, strategic and critical thinking and the ability to navigate sensitive and complex government environments.

**What We’re Looking For**

**Proven Government Experience**

**Strategic and Independent Thinker** You will be expected to exercise professional and independent judgment, providing authoritative advice to the Office of the CEO and Senior Management. This role requires someone who can strategically influence and build the reputation of the TAC and the Victorian Government.

**Exceptional Communicator** Your role will involve overseeing the delivery of consistent, accurate, and high-quality communications to key stakeholders, ensuring that information is aligned with the TAC’s objectives in road safety and client care. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly in briefing and advising senior leadership.

**Collaborative Stakeholder Manager** We’re looking for a proactive leader who excels at building and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of government and within the TAC. Your ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders will support the successful delivery of TAC’s objectives.

**Adaptable and Proactive Leader** This role demands a leader who is adaptable and proactive, capable of responding to the dynamic needs of stakeholders and managing critical issues with confidence and clarity.
