**AFL Program Support**: **2 x Part-Time Education Support Traineeships** 2.5 Days/Week (19 hours)

Western Heights College is a 7-12 secondary college in Hamlyn Heights, Geelong. Western Heights College has designed a progressive model of learning that provides our students with the skills, knowledge and values to shape their futures and contribute meaningfully to the world in which they live, both academically and athletically. Western Heights College is offering a fantastic opportunity with two part time positions to year 12 school levers/ Gap Year students looking to undertake a Certificate III in Education Support. The positions will be within the Specialist Sports Program, specifically working in the AFL program.

**Knowledge, skills and responsibilities**
- Coaching Support: Supports the AFL program by providing coaching support (individual and small group work) to student-athletes from Year 7-12 across AFL and AFLW.
- Student-Athlete Testing Support: Provides program support for student-athlete testing and data collection related to fitness components for AFL. Aids in presenting this information to student athletes for individualised growth and goal setting.
- Problem-solving: Reflects on qualified performance and seeks information needed to solve work problems; identifies and proposes practical solutions to problems; implements and adjusts solutions when endorsed by manager. Has the ability to influence and negotiate within a team setting that contributes to improved organisational outcomes.
- Self-management: Accepts responsibilities for own actions; focuses on the most important goals; has a realistic and balanced view of own strengths and weaknesses; recognises own feelings and personal prejudices and understands why they occur.
- AFL Program Support: Assists in administrative tasks related to the football program and consistently demonstrates WHC values of Responsibility, Inclusion and Courage.
