In this role you will provide leadership in built environment education, research and practice while leveraging established connections to government funding priorities, skilled bodies and industry. Areas of Expertise
- Sustainable design management and construction practice
- Design thinking in design and project management
- Circular built environment
- Sustainable building performance
- Environmental impact modelling and assessment
- Energy efficiency in buildings and life cycle assessment (LCA)
- Sustainable resource use, sustainable materials and renewable energy technologies Key Responsibilities
- Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practices to inform unit/course design across disciplines in peer institutions or nationally
- Lead teaching teams to develop courses and materials that influence teaching for the discipline in peer institutions or nationally, or across multiple disciplines
- Develop new innovation in curriculum design that is adopted in peer institutions or nationally
- Lead large‑scale, highly productive, high‑quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs
- Develop and lead major academic or other collaborations that enable novel research or creative activities recognised internationally Key Selection Criteria
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Evidence of original, cutting‑edge and distinguished contribution to scholarship and teaching, research and research supervision
- Demonstrated success as an eminent authority at the national and international level in research and scholarship through high‑quality publications and exhibitions, as appropriate to the discipline
- Sustained success in obtaining competitive external research grants
- Excellence in engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national and international standing of the discipline
- Evidence of successful leadership of teaching, research and/or administration
- Demonstrated ability to lead improvement of academic standards, including implementing best practice teaching strategies and dissemination of innovative practices
