MuleSoft Integration Architect (15+ Years Experience) Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced MuleSoft Integration Architect with 15+ years of IT experience and deep expertise in designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will lead large‑scale integration programs, define API‑led connectivity strategies, and ensure scalable, secure, and reusable integration architectures. Key Responsibilities
- Define end‑to‑end integration architecture using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform .
- Design API‑led connectivity architecture (System, Process, Experience APIs).
- Develop High‑Level Design (HLD), Low‑Level Design (LLD), and integration blueprints.
- Establish reusable frameworks, accelerators, and best practices. API-Led Connectivity & Integration
- Design, develop, and govern APIs using:
- Anypoint Design Center
- Anypoint Exchange
- Anypoint API Manager
- Define API lifecycle management including versioning, throttling, and governance.
- Implement REST/SOAP integrations, batch processing, and real‑time integrations.
- Apply Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) for scalable solutions.
- Implement asynchronous processing and decoupled integration strategies. Platform & Middleware Expertise
- Work with key MuleSoft components:
- Mule Runtime Engine
- Anypoint Studio
- Anypoint Platform (CloudHub / Runtime Fabric)
- Design hybrid and multi‑cloud integration solutions. Security & Compliance
- Define and implement API security policies (OAuth2, JWT, SAML).
- Ensure data protection, encryption, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Work with enterprise security teams to enforce governance. DevOps & CI/CD
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft deployments.
- Integrate with tools like Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Enable automated testing, monitoring, and logging. Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor integration teams across development and delivery.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance tuning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical stakeholders. Governance & Best Practices
- Establish integration governance frameworks and standards.
- Promote API reuse and domain‑driven design.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and scalability concerns. Required Skills & Experience Experience
- 15+ years of IT experience with 8–10+ years in integration domain .
- 5+ years of hands‑on MuleSoft experience in architect role. Technical Skills
- Solid expertise in:
- MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- DataWeave 2.0
- REST/SOAP APIs
- JSON, XML
- Experience with:
- API Gateways and Microservices architecture
- API‑led connectivity
- Event‑driven architecture
- Microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hybrid integration (on‑prem + cloud) Certifications (Preferred/Required)
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (MCPA)
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA) – highly preferred Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to lead distributed teams
- Strategic thinking with hands‑on technical depth
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce integrations
- Exposure to other iPaaS platforms (Boomi, Workato, IBM)
