Household Personal Assistant Employment Type: Part-time, 12-month contract Hours: 12 hours per week Location: Private residence, Geelong Victoria Reports to: The homeowners
Remuneration: $35
- $40 per hour, plus superannuation and pro-rate leave entitlements The Household Personal Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day running, organisation and presentation of a busy family home. The role is built around initiative: the right person notices what needs doing and takes care of it, keeping the home calm, organised and immaculate without needing to be directed task by task. This is a varied, hands-on role. While a separate cleaner attends to heavy deep-cleaning, this position holds the overall "lens" over the household
- organising, maintaining standards, managing supplies and coordinating any external help. Key Responsibilities: Home organisation & presentation
- Keep living areas, the kitchen, the playroom tidy organised and presentable each day.
- Put away items left out, return things to their place, neaten cushions and shared spaces.
- Tidy and reset the playroom, returning toys to their place.
- Organise and maintain cupboards, linen presses and storage areas.
- Maintain a consistently high standard of order and presentation throughout the home.
Laundry & linen
- Complete laundry end to end
- washing, drying, folding and putting away.
- Collect clothing left out and launder as needed; put away clean clothing on initiative.
- Change and launder bed linen weekly.
- Refresh bathroom towels and floor mats twice weekly. Kitchen supplies
- Surface-clean benches, cupboards and the microwave between the cleaner's visits.
- Clean and organise the fridge and pantry.
- Unpack grocery delivery on Tuesday's and Friday's.
- Keep household consumables stocked
- refill soaps, replace diffusers as they empty. Coordination & errands
- Arrange external trades when required (for example window cleaners).
- Run occasional household errands as needed.
- Assist with minor administrative tasks. General
- Take initiative to keep the home in top condition, anticipating needs rather than waiting to be asked.
- Communicate proactively about supplies running low, maintenance needs or anything requiring the homeowners' attention. Skills & Attributes

- Discreet and professions, maintaining the family's privacy at all times. Requirements
- National Police Check (current, or willingness to obtain).
- Working With Children Check (current).
- Current Victorian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Local to the Geelong area. Working Arrangements Hours are 12 per week, worked across a regular roster of Tuesday (6 hours) and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (2 hours each), with specific times arranged by mutual agreement. This role is offered as a 12-month contract, with the option to extend, paid at an hourly rate between $35
