Role Summary & Purpose

To repair and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance.

To fit, assemble, grind and shape metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.

Team members may do any of the following duties:

Determines suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings

Fits fabricated metal parts and assembles them

Sets guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, sets up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses (Lathe and Milling)

Forms metal stock and castings to weld, press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal

Cuts, threads, bends and installs hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines

Performs Scheduled maintenance of machines, mechanical parts, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

What you can demonstrate:

Sound communication/teamwork skills

Attention to detail, ability to produce and communicate design ideas.

Strong knowledge of tooling, welding techniques, drilling and tapping.

Proficient in the use of powered hand-tools

Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Experienced in the use of Mex (or similar)

Experience with Roll-forming Machinery and/or related process.

Positive Root Cause identification skills.
