Leading Hand – Warehouse (Croydon)

We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Leading Hand to join a fast-paced warehouse operation based in Croydon. This role will support the Warehouse Team Leader across the day-to-day coordination of warehouse operations, ensuring workflow, dispatch, receivals and inventory processes are completed safely, accurately and efficiently. This is a highly operational role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and supporting team performance within a busy warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations across dispatch, receivals and inventory
- Coordinate workflow and assist with daily task allocation across the warehouse floor
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading trucks
- Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time
- Assist with stock control, replenishment and inventory accuracy
- Support warehouse housekeeping and safety compliance standards
- Assist with onboarding and guidance of warehouse staff
- Work closely with the Team Leader to identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of operational or stock issues Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Leading Hand, Warehouse 2IC, Senior Storeperson or similar warehouse leadership role
- Solid forklift operating experience (essential)
- Good understanding of warehouse operations including dispatch, receivals and inventory management
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support and direct teams on the floor
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Exposure to process improvement, Lean or continuous improvement principles highly regarded What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who:
