Health & Safety Advisor Georgetown, South Australia (2 hours north of Adelaide) Full-Time | 2:1 Roster (DIDO) Market-competitive salary: $135,000 incl. super + 20% uplift About the Project Join an engineering and infrastructure contractor known for delivering complex renewable energy projects on a major utility-scale wind farm in South Australia’s Mid North region. This large-scale renewable energy development will play a key role in Australia’s transition to clean energy, involving significant civil, electrical, and infrastructure works across a multi-year construction program. This is a long-term project offering strong career development within the growing renewables sector. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a high-performing project team on-site. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in driving safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with HSE systems, and fostering a proactive safety culture across all site operations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with operational teams and subcontractors in a dynamic, high-risk environment. Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of site-based HSE management plans and systems
- Coach and guide operational teams on safe work practices and compliance requirements
- Review and monitor SWMS, permits to work, and high-risk activities
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and field observations
- Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
- Support delivery of site inductions, training, and safety communications
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, reporting, and records
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with HSE requirements
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits
- Promote a strong, proactive safety culture across all site activities
- Support injury management and return-to-work processes About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Must be based in South Australia
- 2–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role
- Background in construction, civil, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience working in high-risk, live project environments
- Ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships on-site
- Strong reporting, investigation, and documentation skills
- Current Driver’s Licence Desirable:
- Experience on wind farm or renewable energy projects
- ICAM investigation training
- Internal auditing experience
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Why This Role
