- 27 October – 03 November 2024 | Hospital Please quote job reference: A little about the role: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in rural and remote healthcare settings. These roles require nurses with a strong background in telehealth, emergency care, and the ability to work across both General Ward and Emergency/Outpatients Departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in both the General Ward and Emergency/Outpatients Departments.
- Triage patients and manage patient flow effectively.
- Take charge as the Registered Nurse in the ward when required.
- Be available for “on‑call” duties as needed. Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience in rural and remote nursing – 5 Years +
- Proficiency in telehealth and emergency care.

- Evidence of vaccinations/immunity

- Proof of a recent Criminal History Check.Proof of AHPRA registration. Confirmation of annual maintenance of the following competencies:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency (if required by location).
- Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK) competency (if required by location).Manual and patient handling.Infection control.Aggressive behaviour management.Mandatory reporting of reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect.Medication management, including Queensland Public Health Services (Drugs and Poisons) RegulationsUnderstanding of the Aged Care Act and Elder Abuse responsibilities (where applicable).
