Job Overview Job Number: Location: Einasleigh, QLD, AU Position: Mechanical Supervisor – Commissioning team for the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the construction process, including coordinating and directing workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Enforce safety regulations and building codes, and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
- Manage and resolve conflicts between parties involved in the project.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, costs, and quality control measures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met and identify and address any issues that arise.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and procedure. Key Requirements
- Experience supervising mechanical works on major infrastructure/energy/resources projects in Australia.
- Experience working for a tier one contractor is advantageous.
- Demonstrated commissioning experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Supervisor, managing multiple subcontractors and direct employees.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Solid problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Able to work and integrate into a team.
