About the role Do you have qualifications and experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) and are willing to share that experience with the next generation of AMEs? Airbus is looking for people just like you to provide on-the-job training and supervision for RAAF Fitters and Airbus apprentices progressing towards their AME qualifications. Location: Richmond, Sydney, NSW. Work hours This role ideally suits semi-retired people who are seeking part-time employment to provide meaningful work and to supplement their retirement income. The Airbus Richmond site operates Monday to Thursday; however, this role is open to people seeking as little as 2 days per week work. About you To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team setting, have a strong attention to detail as well as good verbal and written skills. Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced AME and the desire to pass on your skills to the next generation of AMEs
- Hold any of the below qualifications or greater: Trade Certificate in aircraft maintenance (Engine, Airframe, Electrical, Instrument, Radio or Structures); Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics); DASR 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence; CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence; Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
- Valid Driver's License Additional Experience (Not mandatory)
- Any military aircraft maintenance experience
- Experience in heavy maintenance (civil or military)
