Customer Service Leader - Internal Sales (Dry Creek)

At DM Plastics & Steel, we manufacture and supply critical pipeline solutions used across infrastructure, civil construction, mining, industrial and rural projects throughout Australia. We are a fast-moving South Australian owned manufacturer with a strong reputation built on reliability, responsiveness and practical customer service. We're now looking for a hands-on Customer Service Team Leader to help lead the operational heart of our Sales function. This is not a "sit back and supervise" role. You'll lead from the front inside a busy, high-volume environment where speed, accuracy, commercial awareness and teamwork genuinely matter. You'll support and guide the Customer Service team while also remaining hands-on in quoting, problem solving and customer support. If you enjoy structure and improving how things operate, while still being part of the day-to-day action, this role offers genuine influence and opportunity. What You'll Be Doing Leading the Team
- Coordinate and support the daily workflow of the Customer Service team
- Provide direction, coaching and support in a fast-paced setting
- Act as the escalation point for complex customer, freight, pricing and order issues
- Help drive a culture of accountability, responsiveness and teamwork Supporting Sales & Customers
- Prepare accurate quotes and process customer orders efficiently
- Maintain strong CRM discipline and customer follow-up processes
- Work closely with Territory Managers and internal departments
- Help ensure customers receive fast, practical and reliable service Commercial & Operational Focus
- Maintain pricing accuracy and margin discipline
- Identify recurring issues and help drive permanent solutions
- Improve quote turnaround times and workflow efficiency
- Support forecasting reliability and process consistency Fittings Champion Responsibilities
- Support growth of our fittings product range across Rural, Mining, Industrial & Civil sectors
- Work with Sales teams to maximise fittings opportunities within projects
- Help improve internal product knowledge and customer awareness What We're Looking For
- Previous leadership or senior experience within customer service, internal sales or sales support
- Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, construction, trade or similar environments highly regarded
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and confidence working with quotes, pricing and systems
- Commercial awareness and ability to think practically
- Calm under pressure with a solutions-focused mindset
