Mechanical Fitter – Geraldton Karara Export Terminal We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to be part of our Maintenance team based at the Geraldton Karara Export Terminal. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring all port maintenance requirements are met to KML standards of efficiency, quality and safety. This role operates on a residential roster of 5 days on / 3 days off and 4 days on / 2 days off. Qualifications
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- WA 'C' Class Drivers' License
- Tickets – Dogging (DG), Basic Rigging (RB), Elevated Work Platform (WP), Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of process plant equipment
- Proven experience with generic fixed plant policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of scheduled maintenance systems and work order process
- Demonstrated ability to undertake problem solving investigations and reviews
- Demonstrated ability to plan work in line with predicted operational requirements
- Australian Citizenship or hold a valid visa with permission to work
- National Police clearance is required to obtain MSIC Eligibility To be eligible to apply for this role you must be residing in the Geraldton area or be prepared to relocate at your own cost. Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned work tasks for scheduled and unscheduled work, to the specification and quality advised by the equipment manufacturers.
- Monitor, measure, communicate and report issues or business risks identified in the workplace.
- Share technical knowledge and expertise within teams.
- Develop and improve job procedures for various maintenance tasks.
- Promote and participate in a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage in development activities to extend the range of competency.
- Attend scheduled training as part of development plan.
- Participate in the identification, development and implementation of relevant continuous improvement projects.
