Senior Accountant (Geraldton)

About the role Senior Accountant at RSM – your role will support regional businesses in our Jurien Bay and Geraldton offices. You will be an integral part of the business advisory function, analysing financial information and preparing financial reports that track assets, liabilities, profit‑and‑loss, tax liabilities and other financial activities for the Firm’s clients. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed.
- Apply knowledge of the client’s business environment and industry positioning.
- Mentor graduating staff and act as a buddy.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with current legal and accounting reporting standards.
- Prepare documents for client meetings with a partner.
- Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Prepare and analyse management accounting reports.
- Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Provide advice on tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe advantages tax.
- Offer general business advisory advice and support to a wide range of client groups. Qualifications and Skills
