About the role We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team at RSM Geraldton. In this role, you will perform a broad range of bookkeeping responsibilities, including reviewing, organising and processing client financial information sourced from various systems. You will work closely with accountants and clients, playing a key role in delivering high‑quality outcomes and exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities
- Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues
- Assists accountant in preparing client BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, LSL Levy and other ongoing tax compliance requirements
- Prepares reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable
- Assists with client relationship management
- Handles client bookkeeping queries Qualifications and Experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant qualifications
- Experience with Xero and MYOB Account Right (essential)
- Payroll experience
- Sound accounting skills (debits and credits, P&L; and balance sheet differences)
- Basic GST knowledge
- Ability to identify and communicate process improvements
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
