About the role: We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team at RSM Geraldton. In this role, you will perform a broad range of bookkeeping responsibilities, including reviewing, organising and processing client financial information sourced from various systems. You will work closely with accountants and clients, playing a key role in delivering high‑quality outcomes and exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards;
- Applies knowledge of client/firm/industry trends and current issues;
- Assist accountant in preparing client BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, LSL Levy and other ongoing tax compliance requirements;
- Prepare reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable;
- Assist with client relationship management;
- Handle client bookkeeping queries. About you:
- 4+ years relevant experience;
- Relevant qualifications;
- Xero and MYOB Account Right experience essential;
- Payroll experience;
- Sound accounting skills (Dr’s & Cr’s ; P&L; & Balance Sheet differences);
- Basic GST knowledge;
- Ability to identify & communicate process improvements;
- Strong organisational skills;
- Excellent customer service skills;
