Safety, reliability, and compliance are the hallmarks of our service. Role Description This full-time position for a Business Development Officer is based on-site in Holden Hill, SA. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting customer needs. The Business Development Officer will collaborate with the sales and operations teams, analyze market trends, and contribute to the development of strategies to expand the company's customer base. The role also includes ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and providing solutions to meet client demands effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for current Overhead Gantry Cranes & Service Contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Operations managers, maintenance managers, and project engineers.
- Promote LCS’s full range of services including crane installation, servicing, inspections, refurbishments, and compliance solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct site visits to assess client requirements and recommend tailored Gantry Crane solutions.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate project scoping and successful delivery.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline of leads and opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer need to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure all customer interactions align with safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Reviewing inspection reports with client and liaising between operation staff and client. Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in technical or industrial sales (preferably cranes, lifting equipment, or related mechanical/electrical services)
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Familiarity with Australian Standards (AS1418, AS2550) is highly desirable.
