As we scale our work across the Gladstone region, we are looking for a local, highly connected and outcomes-focused person to help bring this model to life across schools, industry and community. About the Role The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be responsible for driving the local implementation of The Careers Department across schools in the Gladstone region, while also building meaningful connections between students, educators, employers and training pathways. This is a hybrid role that sits between schools and industry. You will support schools to embed TCD into their careers programs, help teachers and students engage with the platform, and work directly with local employers to ensure students are being exposed to real career opportunities in the region. The role is practical, relationship-driven and impact-focused. It requires someone who can move comfortably between a school classroom, a principal meeting, an employer roundtable and a community partnership conversation. Salary dependant on experience. Key Responsibilities School Engagement and Program Implementation
· Support schools across the Gladstone region to successfully adopt and embed The Careers Department platform.
· Work with principals, careers advisers, teachers and year coordinators to identify the best way to use TCD within each school.
· Deliver school onboarding, teacher training, student sessions and classroom-based support.
· Help schools connect TCD modules to existing careers programs, subject areas, work readiness activities and pathway planning.
· Drive student participation in relevant virtual work experience, skills and industry modules.
· Monitor school engagement and provide practical support where usage is low.
· Collect feedback from schools to improve the rollout, resources and local relevance of the program. Industry Engagement and Local Pathways
· Build and manage relationships with local employers, industry bodies, training providers and community partners.
· Help translate local workforce needs into student-facing career education opportunities.
· Support employers to engage with schools through TCD content, career activities, work exposure opportunities and student pipeline initiatives.
· Identify local jobs, apprenticeships, traineeships, training pathways and emerging skills needs that should be reflected in the program.
· Help connect students who complete relevant modules with next-step opportunities, including training, credentials, employer engagement and pathway programs. Local Program Development
· Provide insight into the Gladstone region’s education, employment and community landscape.
· Identify local industries, employers and workforce priorities that should inform TCD’s regional strategy.
· Support the development of localised content, school activities and employer-led initiatives.
· Act as the local representative of The Careers Department in meetings, events, school visits and industry forums.
· Contribute to reporting, case studies and impact storytelling for schools, employers and community partners. You do not need to come from a traditional teaching background, but you must be able to build trust with schools and communicate effectively with educators, students, employers and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be:

· Comfortable presenting to students, teachers, school leaders and employers.
