The Opportunity BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join the Customer Service team based in Gladstone. BlueScope Distribution is a single‑source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. As a Customer Service Officer, you will ensure exceptional customer service in each interaction. You will be a key contact for sales and service enquiries, taking new orders and quotations, providing product and pricing advice, and managing a variety of day‑to‑day enquiries. You will have access to various health and well‑being initiatives including Employment Assistance Program, Employee Real Deals and ongoing learning, support and training. What Will You Do?
- Interact with customers over the phone and email, managing quotes and queries.
- Follow up on quotations and inquiries, converting these into sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including marketing, warehouse and sales departments to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met, including product specifications, special packaging, and delivery timetable.
- Nurture and grow relationships with customers to uncover new business and sales opportunities.
- Continuously look for new ways of improving the customer experience and consistently improve the total value proposition. More About You
- Experience working in a customer service/sales setting.
- High attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- A proactive approach to building constructive and effective relationships.
