**About the Centre/Service**

Appletree Hill Preschool is a community-based sessional kindergarten overseen by a volunteer Committee of Management and is situated in Glen Waverley in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Our Preschool is rated Exceeding the National Quality Standards in all 7 quality areas. We provide a safe, secure and respectful environment which enables children to learn at their own pace, building on their strengths and following their interests. We are a well-resourced sessional kindergarten and our indoor and outdoor environments support all aspects of children’s learning and development. Our programs are based on the VEYLDF & EYLF and their guiding principles, practices and outcomes. We embrace the vision of the right for all children to be brought up in a spirit of peace, dignity, tolerance and equality. Appletree Hill Preschool is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and have a zero tolerance for child abuse. Tuesday: 8:00am-4.30pm Wednesday: 10:00am-5.00pm Thursday: 8:00am-4.30pm Friday: 8:00am -4:30pm Total 32.5 hours per week

**Description**

**Qualifications**
- Applicants must have the following qualification prior to commencement:

- Essential requirement: hold an approved Diploma of Children’s Services (or equivalent as approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority
- ACECQA)
- Must be able to fill the position of Nominated Supervisor or be nominated as a person in a leadership position or with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the service in accordance with the Regulations if required by the Approved Provider
- Hold a current
- Working with Children Check
- Child Protection/Mandatory Reporting Certificate,
- approved first aid qualification,
- approved anaphylaxis management qualification and
- approved emergency asthma management qualification,
- in accordance with the _Education and Care Services National Regulations_ and service policies.
